Xbox 360 Models

Whether you’re an experienced video gamer or you’re having Xbox 360 as your first gaming system, you can use this buyer’s guide for your checklist to make sure you know what you’re spending your money on.

First, there are not just one model of Xbox 360. Xbox 360 comes in Arcade, Pro and Elite version. Let’s take a look one by one.

Xbox 360 Arcade/Core Features

Being the Xbox 360 with the lowest price, Xbox 360 Core seems like a good choice. But with its lack of feature, you’ll find yourself buying more accessories and pay more expensive than go for the Pro/Elite version straight ahead. Therefore, it’s best to start with the Xbox Pro or Elite. Here’s what you get and don’t when purchasing Xbox 360 Arcade/Core

  • $199.99 price
  • 256 MB storage
  • wired controller
  • standard/composite (Red+White+Yellow) AV cable
  • no headset
  • no network cable
  • HDMI port, but HDMI cable sold separately
  • compatible with only Xbox 360 games

Xbox 360 Pro/Premium

The Xbox 360 Pro is set to provide you the best of Xbox 360. Xbox 360 Pro bundle has a great value considering each accessories’ cost when purcahsed separately. It is highly recommended to get the Pro instead of the Arcade version. The Xbox 360 Pro/Premium package includes the following:

  • $299.99 price
  • 60GB external hard drive
  • wireless controller
  • component AV cables (includes ends to hook up to both HDTV and standard TVs)
  • Xbox Live headset
  • network cable
  • HDMI port, but HDMI cable sold separately
  • compatible with Xbox 360 games and 300 Xbox games

You can have all of these tons of extra stuff for a slight $100 difference with the Xbox 360 Arcade.

Xbox 360 Elite

There are some key features added within the Xbox 360 Elite regarding to storage and video output.

  • $399.99 price
  • 120GB hard drive
  • black wireless controller
  • component AV cables
  • black Xbox Live headset
  • network cable
  • HDMI port plus cable
  • compatible with Xbox 360 games and 300 Xbox games

You can see the major difference is the price. If having a more common Xbox Pro doesn’t seem to be a problem, you may exclude the Elite version. But if you want to feel the proud of having an Xbox 360 Elite black (which not everyone has), click the product below to purchase.
